good idea, i found one in the freezer so whenever i feel a slight pain ill get some ice on bc yeah when i first tried to run months ago i ripped something too.

Well, it'd be cheaper just to buy a gel pack (you can find it in the grocery store) so you can reuse it over and over again. I only use icy hot patches when I'm in intense pain-like when I tore my tendon.

If you are finding pain in your neck when doing these exercises it is because you are leading the abdominal movement with your neck instead of focusing on your abs. By leading with your neck you are putting momentum into the workout, which is something that you don't want to do. Instead keep your head looking towards the ceiling to make sure that you aren't pulling your body up with your neck. Also by doing it slowly it will target your abs more effectively because your abs will do all the work.
